READ ACROSS AMERICA

Today was our fifth (and hopefully final) snow day of the year. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Spring. Unfortunately, we had several Dr. Seuss events planned for “Read Across America Day” today, but they will be rescheduled.

WE LOVE BWS!
Students, parents, and staff members have all contributed to our “We Love BWS” digital bulletin board which you can access here.  We will also be displaying these thoughtful entries  throughout the building. If you haven’t yet contributed, you can still do so. Send your thoughts to me via email (mmccloskey@cbrsd.org), or in a written note to school.

In addition, teachers did an additional bulletin board, talking about why they love teaching.  That is available for you to view here. We are so fortunate at this school to have such a wonderful and dedicated community.

WAHCONAH BUILDING PROJECT
Please take some time to look at the website for this exciting project. In addition, the Building Committee will be hosting a Community Workshop at BWS in March to give our families the opportunity to get information, ask questions, and provide input into the design of a renovated and/or new Wahconah. Please join us on March 29th at 5pm and have a voice in your children’s future.

FUNDRAISER ORDERS DUE WEDNESDAY
Don’t forget to place your orders for the braided pastry and cookie dough items that the PTO is offering.  They need the completed forms returned to the school by Wednesday, March 7.

HALF DAY FRIDAY FOR STUDENTS
Students will be dismissed at 11:20 on Friday, March 9th so that teachers can take part in Professional Development.

PTO MEETS ON THE SECOND MONDAY OF THE MONTH
Next meeting is Monday, March 12th.  All are welcome.
